In front of an audience of around 150 students and guests, Executive Board member Fritzi Köhler-Geib spoke at the Bundesbank’s University of Applied Sciences in Hachenburg about the current state of the German economy – and about possible ways of improving the situation, especially through determined action on digitalisation.

At the conference on “The Future role of the EU in the global economy” held at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, the Bundesbank’s University of Applied Sciences presented research results on central bank independence and EU financing instruments for a common security and defence policy. 

Ebson Uanguta, the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Namibia, paid a visit to the Bundesbank’s University of Applied Sciences in Hachenburg.

The Bundesbank’s University of Applied Sciences received four delegations from China, France, Italy and Poland at Hachenburg Castle for International Week. 

Harry Ishihara, former advisor to Japanese regulators and macro strategist, visited a lecture on econometrics and statistics at the Bundesbank University of Applied Sciences and shared his experience and expertise with students.

Ten Bundesbank students spent two weeks in France as part of an exchange between the Bundesbank’s University of Applied Sciences and the University of Toulon.

The Bundesbank’s University of Applied Sciences has reaffirmed the long tradition of cooperation with the PBC School of Finance by sending professors to lecture in Beijing. From late October to early November 2024, Rector Erich Keller, his deputy Andeas Kremer and Oliver Kruse took turns to teach at the renowned Tsinghua University in Beijing.
