Support during the studies

We ensure that our students are fully supported at all times, both during the theoretical studies in Hachenburg and during the practical studies in the various areas of the Bundesbank and BaFin.

In contrast to many other universities, the lecturers are often on campus and provide a high level of support. Moreover, the study team and the examination office provide advice and assistance in student matters. Study documents are provided free of charge and grants are given for books.

During the 12 months of practical studies, the university's practical studies coordination unit and, in particular, the central tutor's team look after the students. While the students are on placements in the divisions and units, the practical studies tutors and training staff are responsible for looking after them, providing an introduction and guidance. The staff of the Human Resources Department are always happy to answer any questions regarding public service law or personnel management.

Two months before the studies commence, ie in the February or August of a given year, students that have successfully completed the selection procedure and have been accepted on the course are given a comprehensive introduction to the course and the general framework in the "get acquainted days" at the Bundesbank's conference venue in Eltville am Rhein. Students not only get to know each other, but also future contact persons and colleagues.
